Once you acquire a villa you are entitled to move to an Apartment (subject to availability) no matter what the price of the apartment may be in the future.
The cost to you is in the documents when you purchase your villa. It varies according to the type of apartment you may move to. Full details are available at Brentwood’s Sales Office.
You do not have to wait to sell your villa, this is Brentwood’s responsibility. When you require or want to transfer to a care apartment or nursing home, there is usually an urgent need for doing so.
In a “capital gain” village, you would be required to sell your self care villa first. This is not the case at Brentwood. |

At Brentwood apartments we provide the following services:
- Fully qualified nursing staff, domestic, kitchen and dining room staff.
- Full personal care and attention are provided, under the supervision of the Residents Care Director.
- Brentwood Apartment nurses are on duty in these Apartments between the hours of 7.00am – 7.30pm.
If you need attention in the middle of the night, you press the Emergency button. The nurse on duty in our Nursing home will come to your assistance and if necessary an additional nurse will assist. Should there be a need to call your doctor or ambulance the nurses will take care of this. Should you require specialized attention and services in the care apartments, e.g., special nursing care, showering assistance, tray service, extra bed linen changes, etc. these are available as a matter of course at an additional charge.
The Apartment is equipped with central heating, T.V. and telephone outlets, emergency call system and a full size bathroom to enable wheelchair access. It also has a smoke alarm and letter boxes for mail and chemist prescriptions. Letter boxes are located in the foyer of each apartment building. Chemist boxes are located in strategic positions in the building – medication will be delivered to the nurse.
The levy is 90% of the single age pension for a bedsitter apartment or for a one bedroom apartment the levy is 100% of the single age pension and for a two bedroom apartment the levy is 100% of the single age pension.
It does not matter whether you are on a pension or not. You pay the relevant percentage of the Pension and no more. To know your Expenses now and for the future, the Levy is tied to a percentage of the aged Pension to protect you from uncontrolled increases and a levy charge you may not be able to afford.

We want you to feel comfortable and secure without having to worry about money. Upon departure a percentage of the amounts paid by the resident on Entry. This percentage is determined by the number of days the resident has resided in the village to the date the contract is terminated. Full details are available at Brentwood’s Sales Office.
A resident may apply for rental assistance from the Government. The resident may only qualify if there is limited or no other income other than the pension. Apart from the emergency calls, nurses make regular daily calls on residents, in particular those who are not well and need special attention. All residents are encouraged to use the many facilities the Village offers and participate in the activities. You will note under recreation listing what activities are available? The apartments also have their own Recreation Officer to Organize all their activities and outings.
